Lots of great programming this summer including a full week of weaving on looms and fiber arts with Saori Weaving, Nature Week, Wearable Art Week, Building and all of the usual AWA fun stuff!

M-F 8:30- 2:00 / $695 including supplies

M-F 2:00-6:00 / $505 including supplies

**Mihoko’s weaving and fiber arts, week of July 8**

M-F: 9-2, tuition: $650, plus an additional materials fee of $50 per student

During the week of Mihoko’s weaving class floor sized looms fill the studio, so we will be closed during the afternoons.

We believe in the magic and power of creativity, and like to meet students where they’re at. While we offer many different projects each week, there are never any requirements. This is a real studio for artists to explore! Summer programs are mixed age in small groups.
Each day is broken into two sections with similar programming for each section. Sign on for one or both sections each week! Daily sign ons are also available.

Week of June 17th-21st (Wednesday thru Friday: no class on Monday and Tuesday, for this week only.)

Nature week! Terrariums, drawing plants, and other nature art projects. Expect a fun filled week of studio explorations, plus all of the regular tie dye, drawing, sketchbooking, canvas painting and all sorts of sculpture.

Afternoon: 2:00-6:00

Week of June 24th

Sculpture week! Make sculptures from a variety of materials, including cardboard, plaster, wire, and wood. Explore our vast mixed media bin of treasures and create unique sculptures! As always, there will also be tie dye, drawing, sketchbooking, and canvas painting.

Note: Whole week is 9a-2pm. (four spaces remaining!)

We are pleased to announce Mihoko Wakabayashi will return to the Art with Amy studio with her floor sized looms! Enjoy a full week of weaving, spinning, felting and sewing (by hand and machine!). Each summer we've seen our students make lasting memories AND scarves, vests, dresses, and stuffed animals. Teens welcome. Intergenerational!

Saori weaving and Art with Amy share a "there are no mistakes!" philosophy and truly all leave happy :).

Week of July 15th

Cities week! Make your own tea maps and design your own cities with mixed media materials. Make a light-up “apartment building” lantern from a cereal box. Of course, there will also be tie dye, drawing, sketchbooking, and canvas painting.

Week of July 22nd

Wearable art and sewing week! Paint tote bags and design t-shirts, including learning how to batik (painting with wax). Make a stuffed animal, and learn embroidery. As usual, there will also be tie dye, drawing, sketchbooking, and canvas painting.

Book week! Learn how to marble paper and create our own tiny books, zines, and altered books. Expect lots of collage, painting, and cutting. Of course, there will also be tie dye, drawing, sketchbooking, and canvas painting.
