It's been an amazing start to summer!! Young artists made tape hats (one in progress pictured above ), cool structures, paintings, clay creations and more. We even got in an MFA field trip in! I like to post some of our projects on my AWA Instagram I am forever amazed at the all of the creations happening in our studio

Open Studio - Mixed ages

Expect lots of painting, drawing and building

Barbie-altering projects, canvas painting, terrariums, batik (painting with hot wax and dyes), clay and more

Week of August 10th:

Weaving on floor-sized looms and fiber arts

w/ Mihoko. - Mixed ages

Three spaces open as of today!

Weaving, spinning, felting, sewing (by hand and machine). Make scarves, vests, stuffed animals

No experience needed.

Summer Program starts next week!

We added the week of August  6th!

Pleased to have Mihoko back in the studio with floor sized looms for the week of August 10th! Weaving!! Spinning! Felting and sewing! All ages welcome! 

We offer creative exploration with guidance. Miniatures, painting, drawing , building and tie dye are summer staples. We keep sketchbooks and believe in the power of the many young artists who work in our space.

Weaving and Fiber Arts this Summer!


We are pleased Mihoko will be returning to the AWA studio this summer for a full week of fiber arts from August 10th to August 14th. This program will run daily from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Expect weaving on floor looms, spinning, felting, as well as hand and machine sewing. In past weeks students have created scarves, wearable art and stuffed animals! No prior experience is necessary, and fun for all!

Hello all!

We have open space in our Thursday after school class that meets directly after school until 6. Expect lots of painting, drawing, building and explorations! 

This is a mixed-age group with students in 1st through 5th grade. Pick up available at Lawrence school! Reach out for more info and to sign on.

Bring your old clothes and recycle them into a brand-new costume!
Sew (by machine and hand), paint, glue - We will have masks on hand too!

After school Art

We have students from all schools in all classes. Lots of painting, drawing, building, art history and museum trips.

Mondays: This class is mostly 5th-7th grader. Walk available from Pierce. Class is filled. Please email to join wait list.

Tuesdays: This class is mainly 3rd-5th graders. Walk available from Pierce. Class is filled. Please email to join wait list.

Wednesdays: Walk from Pierce and FRR available. Space open for grades 3rd-6th graders.

Thursdays: We have space for three 3rd-5th graders. Walk from Pierce and Lawrence available.

Fridays: This is a high school aged class. We have one spot open.
