Week of June 26th
8:30-1 M-F
A fun filled week of studio explorations, tie dye, drawing, sketchbooking, painting. Expect the artful unexpected!
1-2 Drawing class. Join for the week or by the day.
2-6 Teen Art
You Can Do This~Your Way!
Week long, student-centered, artist-as-coach of classical visual art techniques~ What do you wish you could do better: Linear Perspective, Drawing Faces, Drawing Form with shading and shadows, Drawing from nature, painting techniques with watercolors, color and color mixing/blending with color pencil, or pastels? Collage and studio materials are also available for whatever you can imagine and Michelle will be there to support your exploration.
Michelle Mendez, practicing artist, AP Art certified instructor and retired high school art teacher offers a supportive studio approach. She'll be there to guide and coach you working on your skills, taking risks in your art-making or simply to have a relaxing week exploring new media and techniques.
Week of July 3rd
8:30-1 Be a Naturalist! ( Tuesday-Friday )
This week students will experiment with natural elements to tie dye and paint with. Lots of painting, printing, cyanotype, embroidery and drawing. Always studio explorations!

Week of July 10th - Miniatures!
8:30-1 Projects will include tiny paintings, sculptures and dioramas

Shelby was in the studio last summer and students made creative board games, sewed banners AND made paintings, prints, cyanotypes, embroidery, sewing and drawing. Looking forward to more this year!

M-F 9-2 Weaving and Fiber Arts
Mihoko will be in the studio with floor sized looms and fiber arts. A week of weaving on looms, sewing, spinning and felting! Scarves, bags, stuffed animals and more!
